Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC is a Colorado-based holding company dedicated to preserving local businesses, their jobs, and economics within their home communities. In some cases, businesses held by Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC also provide unique funding opportunities to local Colorado nonprofits, helping them move toward sustainability.

Through our BOLTS (Business Owner Legacy Transition Services) program, Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC provides business owners with a unique exit opportunity. BOLTS is custom designed to maintain and enhance their business, preserve their positive legacy, and continue its position as steward within its local economy while creating a new asset class for community-oriented investors.

PURchase or Invest in a business

Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC purchases businesses at a fair price. We invest in businesses with the goal of improving operations, keeping it in their local community, and preserving jobs, economics and community wealth. Our purchases and investments are managed to create a 5 - 9% return for our investors.

Corporate Governance

Once purchased or invested in, Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC works to maintain and maximize a business, to insure returns on investments. Financial and accounting services, succession/transition planning, human resources, bank negotiations, tax filing assistance, and insurance, are all overseen by the Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC holding company.

REinvestment & Donation

In some cases, once investors recoup their investments, we will reinvest returns in other local businesses, or donate free cash to nonprofit organizations. Our goal is always to benefit local communities.

President / CEO

Ted

Ted Stolberg

Ted is President and CEO of Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC. He has 40+ years of experience in finance, first as VP corporate Finance for Mergers & Acquisitions at First Boston Corporation (1972 – 1980), then as a Partner at Weiss, Peck & Greer (1981 – 1993), and as Founder of Stolberg Equity Partners (1993 – 2013). In 1999, Ted became Chairman of the Children’s Seedling Fund. In 2008, he founded the Beanstalk Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit.

Diana

Diana Crabtree Green

Diana is the Chief Financial Officer for the Beanstalk Foundation and Beanstalk CCW. She also held the position of CFO at Stolberg Equity Partners from 2002-2013. Her experience in Accounting and Finance runs the gamut, as she has held positions in audit with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver, and author of “Money for Teenagers – A Personal Finance Guide for Youth”.

Nate Ragolia

Nate attended the University of Colorado from 2000 – 2004, earning a degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing. He joined the Beanstalk team in 2011. Since the inception of our social enterprise activities, Nate works in the due diligence process and as an envoy between potential investments and the team.

Andrew Brill

Andrew is Associate of Beanstalk Colorado Community Wealth, LLC. Prior to joining Beanstalk, he worked in capital markets with Mainstreet Investments (Now Invesque), Sagamore Investments, and Weave Social Finance. He also started Brill Consulting LLC to provide finance and investment consulting for small business owners.

 

Our Advisors

Howard Brooks  Howard Brooks is the Executive Director of the Energy Resource Center, a nonprofit organization that works to keep income-qualified families warm and safe. Serving thirteen Colorado counties, the organization reduces energy consumption an average of 25% in hundreds of homes annually. For the last 30 years he has been a leader in the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors. Prior to joining ERC, he was Chief Operating Officer at Pikes Peak United Way. He has directed marketing programs at companies including Deluxe, Time Life, and NordicTrack.

Mike Mazzola  Mike Mazzola is the former owner of Mountain Equipment Recyclers (MER) in Colorado Springs, CO. He started MER in 2011 with the goal of creating a community-minded social enterprise outdoor gear retail store.

Bob Omer  For 18+ years, Bob served as a business leader working closely with senior executives and boards of directors to implement strategies to build long-term value in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Most recently, he served as Co-Founder of Omer Legal Group, LLC. From 2003 - 2012 he served as General Counsel & Principal at Summit Investment Management, LLC.
